Kitchen Makeover

After a couple accidents in the kitchen - like when a hot piece of glass burnt a spot (during my kitchen disaster) and when my rotary cutter sliced a section (when I was cutting fabric and ran off my cutting mat) - the linoleum was looking pretty rough. We were ready for a change! I love the tile look, but Andy didn't want to mess with everything that that involved, so we compromised and got Laminate Flooring.

The day after we ordered the new flooring, our washing machine broke. The replacement part cost almost as much as a new machine, so we went ahead and bought a new one. While we were at it (and since Andy's sister, Kayla, hooked us up with an awesome Whirlpool discount!), wea decided to go ahead and replace our dishwasher and oven as well. This is something I've been wanting to do for quite some time now, so I was really happy. Not only do the new stainless steel appliance look SO much better, but they have many more, fun features!

It really has made a huge difference and I love it! That's especially important since I spend so much time in the kitchen!



Next up:

• Paint along the other wall, below the chair rail (the blue has got to go!).
• Get a new chandelier (or refashion ours).
