It's no secret on here that we love red velvet cake desserts (see the links at the bottom of this post). And When I saw this version on Cookies & Cups, I knew I wanted to try it. I've always loved white chocolate covered pretzels because of the sweet and salty combination, and this white chocolate covered popcorn brings the same thing. And of course adding the red velvet cake crumbs makes it even better! I packaged some popcorn up into bags to deliver to some friends as an early Valentine's treat...hope they enjoy it too! :)

Red Velvet Popcorn (Source: Cookies and Cups)
Ingredients
7 cups popped popcorn (I used 2 bags of Natural white popcorn)
2 cups red velvet cake crumbs
18 oz white chocolate or white melting candy I used almond bark)
Directions
1.Pop the popcorn and put it in a large bowl.
2.Melt your white chocolate according to package directions.
3.Pour the melted chocolate over the popcorn and stir to coat completely.
4.Pour the popcorn onto a waxed paper lined counter and sprinkle with your red velvet crumbs.
5.Let it dry completely before eating. It will store for a few days in an airtight container.
